Material Xenopus laevisRan binding protein 1 (RanBP1) has been purified from a bacterial source as a His-tagged fusion protein. This protein is an effector of Ran and binds with high affinity to Ran-GTP and a much lower affinity to Ran-GDP.
Biological Activity
The biological activity of His-RanBP1 is verified by its ability to bind to constitutively active Ran (Cat. # RN03) but not to dominant negative Ran (Cat. # RN05).
