Anti-SUMO-2/3 antibody (ASM23) was raised against full-length recombinant SUMO-2 protein (Uniprot: P61956) combined with a proprietary mix of peptides that include CQIRFRFDGQPINE. Epitope mapping has identified that the antibody recognizes a sequence/structure within the peptide CQIRFRFDGQPINE. It detects a wide range of SUMO-2/3-targeted proteins. ASM23 is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

• Broad cross species reactivity, the peptide epitope sequence is conserved in mammals, birds, and amphibians.

Sensitivity:

• Detects ≤0.6 ng rSUMO-2 protein

Specificity:

• Highly selective: Detects ≤0.6 ng rSUMO-2 protein, will not detect 800 ng of rSUMO1—demonstrating a ≥1300-fold specificity.
• In HeLa cell lysates, high molecular weight SUMO2/3-modified proteins are abundant. SUMO2/3 signal decreases by over 60% with SUMO-2 shRNA knockdown and increases more than 10-fold after heat shock at 42 °C.
