SiR-CA (also called SiR-Halo) is a ChloroAlkane (CA) derivative of the silicon rhodamine (SiR) fluorophore. CA is the substrate for HaloTag®, which forms a covalent bond upon reacting with it. This enables the permanent labeling of any POI that is expressed as a HaloTag® fusion, allowing stable fluorescent imaging of your POI in live or fixed cells.
