SPY555-CA (also called Map555-Halo) is a ChloroAlkane (CA) derivative of the SPY™555 fluorophore. CA is the substrate for HaloTag®, which forms a covalent bond upon reacting with it. This enables the permanent labeling of any POI that is expressed as a HaloTag® fusion, allowing stable fluorescent imaging of your POI in live or fixed cells.
