SPY™620-DNA is based on the SPY™ dye conjugated to the DNA minor groove binder bisbenzimide (Hoechst). It allows the labelling of DNA in live and fixed cells and tissues with high specificity and low background.

The biological activity of CY-SC401 is assessed by the ability of the probe to label DNA in live HeLa cell culture efficiently. After an optional wash step, cell staining is visible for several hours. Omit the wash step for time lapse imaging.
