SPY566-CA (also called BD566-HTL) is a ChloroAlkane (CA) derivative of the bridged-bicycle-strengthened orange fluorophore BD566. CA is the substrate for HaloTag®, which forms a covalent bond upon reacting with it. This enables the permanent labeling of any POI that is expressed as a HaloTag® fusion, allowing stable fluorescent imaging of your POI in live or fixed cells.
